    Lancaster University

    Lancaster University is a collegiate institution in the British city of Lancaster and a member of the N8 Research Partnership., which is an association of eight universities with the highest research intensity in northern England. It was founded in 1947 when the city supported such a proposal, but the first students were admitted to the university in 1964. Initially, the university’s building was located in the city center, but the campus was later moved, and it now occupies a picturesque area three miles from the city center.
